I'm in between sizes, what should I order?
If you're ordering a pair of panties, and your waist measurement falls between the higher end of a size medium and the lower end of a size large, it all depends on the kind of fit you desire and whether or not your body and weight fluctuates (like mine). If you like a snug, cinched fit or you know you may be decreasing an inch or two there, go for the medium. If you like a more relaxed fit that gives your body ease to go up a couple inches, go for the large.
If your overbust and underbust measurements fall within two different sizes, choose the one that fits your overbust size and write in the order comments the size of your underbust for best fit.
If you are still confused, please send me a message with your measurements and the style(s) you are interested in and I can recommend you a size or make you a custom sized piece free of charge!
How long will it take to receive my order?
Every Belle de Nuit piece is made to order, handmade by me. Please allow 2-6 weeks for your lingerie to arrive. Once shipped, Priority Mail US takes 1-3 business days to arrive, whereas First Class Mail US takes between 2-5 business days. Priority Mail International takes anywhere between 6-10 days, and First Class International about 7-20 business days. If you need your order delivered ASAP, please choose Priority Mail Express (next day US, 3-5 business days International) and/or leave a message in your order notes that state when you need your lingerie by and I will do my best to accommodate! Rush orders (needed within a week or two during high traffic season) please contact me first.
How do I wash my new lingerie?
Like most lingerie pieces, in order to prolong it's lifespan you should hand wash them in cold or lukewarm water and let them hang dry. Putting any of these pieces in a washer or dryer machine will result in potential shrinkage, fabric or elastic deterioration, and will damage the overall integrity of your very special garments. If you have a trusted delicates/hand wash cycle on your washing machine then this works too, but ALWAYS air dry. Handle with love and care!
What is your return and exchange policy?
Lingerie is the most intimate of garments, therefore any pieces that have a crotch area may not be returned or exchanged due to their nature. Any other kind of garment or accessory may be exchanged for a different size if the fit is not to your expected standard. Please always be discerning when placing your order! Double check my size chart, and feel free to email me regarding any questions or concern on size and style before purchasing.
Can I cancel an order/get a refund?
If for whatever reason you need to cancel your order, please make sure to do so within 24 hours of placing it. More often than not I have already started cutting the pieces out for assembly after that period and therefore have already put in labor and material cost. I can offer a partial 50% refund after the 24 hour period which will be sent back via the account used initially upon ordering. Gift card purchases cannot be refunded.
Do you accept custom orders?
Absolutely! My general size run is XS-XXXL, but I will happily make you a custom sized garment free of charge. My goal is to cater to people of all sizes and shapes, so please do not hesitate to send me your measurements and the style(s) you're interested in. Please note that custom size garments may sometimes take extra time to make. If you are interested in an existing style in a different color, material, or anything added- send me an email describing what you would like and I will give you a quote!
Where do you source your materials?
I purchase most of my fabrics from the fashion district in Downtown LA, from varying mom n' pop stores and online small business fabric shops. All elastics also come from trim stores DTLA or small businesses online, hardware and bra strap elastic comes from my trusted lingerie notions supplier in East LA. I love to support fellow small businesses every step of the way!
Where do you produce your garments?
I design, draft the patterns, cut, and sew all myself from my at-home studio in Oakland, CA. No outside sourcing for production which is why the production time is long.
What fabric do you use for your panty liners/gussets?
I use a high quality bamboo jersey knit for all knit lingerie styles as well as for some (black, white, and red mesh and lace) panty style's crotch liners. I use corresponding mesh for the colors I don't have in bamboo knit. Cotton is often praised for being the best for this area, but truthfully cotton isn't a great choice at all because it doesn't absorb moisture- it can stay wet and thus create a potentially unhealthy environment for your kitty! Bamboo knit has numerous benefits beyond being moisture wicking, it's also antibacterial as well as insulating (keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter)! It's the perfect material for your crotch liners from my experience. If you're opposed to bamboo knit for any reason, you may request a 100% silk liner for any panty style as well. Please just note at checkout.
How often do you release new styles?
I don't adhere to the traditional structure of seasonal collections, so I will release new styles singularly or as a full collection when they're fit to be sent off to the world. Some collections will have gradual releases until the full group is complete. Any limited edition or one off pieces will be listed as such.
Will you loan items for a shoot?

Do you sell wholesale?
I currently offer all my pieces at a 50% off wholesale price to boutiques interested in carrying Belle de Nuit. Please send me a message via email or DM with your information and the pieces you are interested in for consideration.
Who did all your graphic art?
My good friend and fellow panty engineer, Hannah Escobar hand drew my moon goddess artwork that you see around the site and social media. My longtime friend since high school Anya Sapozhnikov designed and created my beautiful Belle de Nuit text logo. I do everything else myself within this brand, but when it comes to graphics and photoshoots and other tasks I can't do well enough, I am actively supporting other women and non-binary creators to carry them out for me. I'm always open to collaborators of any kind, contact me if you're interested in working with me!
